Welcome to “The Anglophilic Anglican II”!

Some of you may have encountered the original “The Anglophilic Anglican,” over on WordPress; if you have not, please feel free to check it out. I am not currently updating it, due to frustrations with WordPress’s “block editor,” but am leaving it up for reference, and you are free (and encouraged!) to visit it, if you so desire.

The best way to think of this page is as a defense of Western civilization, and in particular Western Christendom, through the lens of one who is both an Anglican priest, and a lifelong cultural Anglophile. I am theologically orthodox, morally and liturgically traditional, and politically and socially conservative.

As an American citizen, I am a staunch Constitutionalist, and defender of our rights and liberties as traditionally understood – with special attention to the 2nd Amendment. More broadly, I am a staunch defender of the history, culture, and traditions of Western civilization, with a special affection for northwestern Europe, and those cultures descended therefrom.

We live in challenging times, politically, morally, economically, and socially, as well as philosophically and spiritually, in which both the Christian faith and Western history, culture, and tradition is under attack from many directions and many adversaries, both external (militant Islam and Communist China, to name but two) and internal: I have little-to-no patience with “wokeness,” political correctness, cultural Marxism, or Leftism of any sort. Many of my posts may be directed to that struggle.

That said, it is not my intention that this be exclusively or even primarily negative – what we are fighting against: it is my hope and intention – God being my helper – to also provide a multitude of positive examples, of those things we are fighting for. That is to say, I hope this will be a source of encouragement, as well as a clarion call to defend the Good, the True, and the Beautiful.

In defense of Western Christendom, and of the Good, the True, and the Beautiful!
